Why This Site Exists
Rosemount’s useful records sit with several custodians. Dakota County Property Taxation & Records maintains parcel and recorded-document routes, the Secretary of State administers voter tools, Dakota District Court has court records, and Lawshe Memorial Museum preserves historical source material. We organize those routes so that a reader can begin with the right public office or collection rather than treating a single result as a complete answer.
What the Directory Organizes
Each part of the directory has a different research purpose.
- Pages by angle: the street directory for address-keyed records, the Directory Book for historical collections, and the resident lookup for one-person verification
- The rolls and offices: assessor, recorder, elections office, court clerk, vital records, the library's local history collection
- Walkthroughs: how to trace who lives on a street, how to read a directory entry, how to follow a household across the decades
- Access rules: Minnesota Government Data Practices Act routes, statutory limits, and requests when a source is not online
Limits of This Reference

- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
